in Aiken about music

This time we had a chance to listen to various music here and there.
One day there was a fair in the day time. Here we listened to bluegrass music. Have you ever listened to it? It was the first time to see a fiddle and a banjo. It reminds me of John Denver, but it seems to be completely different bluegrass from folk music.

We also had a chance (Jan and Nick bought our tickets.) to listen to symphony, the Augusta Symphony, at church. The music conductor was Mr.Z.Kuwahara, who is Japanese. After the concert, a small party was hold. (It seems to be a usual thing.) Fortunately  we had a chance to talk  with Mr.Z. The Augusta Symphony is supported by lots of volunteer. I love symphony. Unfortunately we seldom listen to full orchestra, more than 4 years passed since we listened to full orchestra music. Symphony gave me lots of energy.

Of course thanks to Jan we had a chance to listen to Jazz. At a hotel on Thursdays Jazz night is held.
Yuki seemed to want to join them, but unfortunately he didn't have a guitar.
Here and there we had a chance to listen to music, and here and there people seemed to enjoy listening to music "naturally".

The last day in Aiken when we had a wonderful dinner, (It was the first time to eat typical Pork chop) we listened to Scottish music.

In Aiken the night is long. Here in Utsunomiya usually the sun sets around 6 or 7. In Aiken the sun sets around 8. So when we go out after eating dinner at 6, the sky is still light. Everybody enjoys each night. On the last day in Aiken Lobster race was held at night. So the downtown was crowded with lots of people.  We heard Rock music from the downtown.
What calm and cheerful nights they are.
Usually Yuki comes back around 11PM, and I usually have lessons until 10PM. So for us enjoying every night is unusual, and a wonderful thing. It was a perfect vacation.

Thanks for your comments.
What is your nationality, I think you really love Japan,( or you hate Amecia.)

Wars are sad things. I always think why people can't live without wars.

On the other hand people are basicaly same everywhere in the world.
So I "love" to meet people everywhere, and if the person I met has a postitive thinking way, I always copy something from him or her.

I have a good Taiwaniese friends, some Chinese friends. We are keeping a good relation ship.

It's difficult to discuss about problmes between countries. I wish if everyboday would be friends.

Thank you for your response, but, I don't understand how you can say people are basically the same.

I agree, they are. The history of China and Korea and Japan doesn't matter - everyday Chinese, Japanese and Koreans live in the present, not the past. Everyday people simply see people, as people.

But, Americans - they are completely different. Every decade since 1776 they have been attacking or in a war with another country. They keep supporting every war - for centuries. Japan stopped war. Russia stopped war. Everyone has stopped worldwide war in invading other countries and destroying innocent people.

But America, has not. For Americans, their real religion is 'you must support the troops. Without question.' Why are they supporting their country killing people every single decade? Whether it was Japan, Korea, Spain, Vietnam, Iraq - every single time, they nod and say 'yes' - 'let's go fight another war'.

That's the difference. That's why Americans are evil. Look at Shari Custer (1000thingsaboutJapan.com) - she like to say she is a peaceful, quiet person. But she lovs to support the Tokyo Daikushu and Hirsohima. She becomes violent when anyone says Hiroshima was wrong.

And what I don't understand about Japan is hoe no one cares about their own Japanese people. 10000 women were raped in Okinawa, Sapporo, Kure and other places by American and Australian forces in Japan, as Yuki Tanaka has shown. Why do Japanese feminists not even care about hem one bit?

100000 people were burned alive in Tokyo on march 3, 1945. The biggest single act of war tha has killed so many people in all of history.

But no Japanese in Tokyo ever care or remember that day. No one evern cares that march 11, 2011 was one day after march 10 and both tragedies should be commemorated together.

A nation that doesn't care about itself is finished. That is why Japan is going nowhere. A nation that only cares about killing others is finished. That is why America is going to keep killing until it kills itself.
