BANKAN

These are not grapefruits, they are called "bankan". And it has also another name "Japanese grapefruit".
Coincidently I got them.
Ho do I eat them --- too much.

Anyway we had some for our breakfast.

And  --- I remembered that I had a gadget called MUKI-chan".

So I peeled them.

I make sweet peel and bankan jelly.

Are you interested in this gadget?

I have never seen bankan, but I think they must be very sour! It is clever to use both the peel and the flesh of the fruit so nothing goes to waste.

Thanks for your comment, Rosa.
Probably compared with other Japanese orange (not mandarin oranges), not so sour, however from you it might be very sour.
Anyway though it was troublesome, but after the job I was really satisfied with doing it.
