Seasonal word 0201 Japanese smelt





Do you have this kind of fish?
We usually eat them as wakasagi-tempura, deep fried wakasagi.
This winter, I haven't eaten them. 

Wakasagi, with "jyu! jyu!" sound (while deep,flying ) , without plates ( as soon as they are deep fried, we eat them instantly)

Going is fun, waiting is unbearable ( on a frozen lake) , fishing Wakasagi
