Both look delicious! Often we let our bread soak overnight in the milk/egg mixture to allow the bread to "soak up" the liquid and make it very soft (like custard) before baking. The raisins also soften. Do you add cinnamon to the egg/milk mixture? Jan
Thanks for your comment, Jan.Yes, I added cinnamon. For us it seems too much butter, --- sometimes we don't mind it.
