Today Yuki is released temporarily. In 10 days he is going back to thehospital to start his cancer treatment.
Next week I am supposed to go to Tokyo to visit our mothers, but I canceled it. It is the same day when Yuki and I are going to talk to his doctor about his radiation treatment.
Anyway today’s lunch we are going to eat outside somewhere. (Additionally yesterday I had lunch at Karaku cafe)
Yesterday an interesting thing happened at hospital. Yuki’s room is in the eight floor. I take his laundry and books to a lounge on the eighth floor (there a lounge on each floor) and talk with a nurse handing over them. There coincidentally I met my friend who is also my hairdresser. Of course both of them were very surprised. In her case her friend is there. Her friend has no family in Tochigi, so she supports her. She understood my situation.
Then we went to Starbucks in the hospital and talk for a while. Yuki came down to buy his coffee, so three of us talked for a little. He also knows her.
Well, basically visitors are not allowed to see patients in the wards. But patients are allowed to buy something at Starbucks or a convenience store in the hospital. So my friend and I “coincidentally “ saw Yuki.
The value is still high, but compadres three months ago not so change, just still high, so I won't take medicine.
Anyway in one hour I will go out.
The hospital is different from Yuki’s one. My hospital is not so bigger than him but it is not a clinic. So it is crowded.
According to Yuki’s morning report today he has CT exam. Then his main treatment plan is scheduled.
At hospital morning starts very early. At 7 am, a nurse comes, checks his temperature and condition, and tells today’s schedule to him.
Yuki says “ I have visitors (nurses and his doctor) everyday more than usual.” (Well at home, he has seldom visitors because he is always out)
It is a usual thing, but this season hot weather continued. So I feel “finally I need long sleeved clothes”, though my friends of the gym still wear short sleeved clothes.
Morning coolness or lonely morning makes me depressed. I should go to the gym in the morning.
My mission in the afternoon is buying some book Yuki requested this morning (just a few minutes ago) at a used shop, taking them to the hospital and bring back back his laundry. His cancer treatment has not started yet.
Good morning. A new week has started. Yuki is still in hospital. His pneumonia was cured. So, his next treatment is going to start. It must be tough.
Fortunately or unfortunately I am busy in processing documents. Now patients in the hospital prohibit to go shopping in the hospital. So I take some magazines an d spare sets of clothes (pajamas and underwear). I can’t see home directly, but anyway I constantly go to the hospital.
These days I take my kimonos apart. I hesitated to do the first one. But once I started, I can take others apart smoothly.
A friend of my gym changes them into casual clothes.
Taking apart it, washing, and ironing, there are some steps. And I hand the kimono cloth to my friend. Of course sewing has many troublesome steps.
Yuki is still in hospital. Tomorrow evening we are going to talk with his doctor. What happens is going to happen.
I hope the meeting will be hold on schedule.
It was going to be hold last Tuesday. But Yuki was suddenly hospitalized with pneumonia. So it was postponed.
In the second half of the week at a floor in the hospital some patients were caught by corona virus. Luckily or unluckily Yuki is in a private room. So he is all right.
When he was told to be hospitalized , we hoped to be in a shared room (thinking of his condition and fee). But it was a sudden hospitalization so shared rooms were full. When a shared room was vacant, he was going to move there. But some patients were caught by corona virus, he enjoys his private room. But it got difficult to go to the first floor to buy something at a convenience store or take a coffee of Starbucks. (In the hospital there is a Starbucks).
Anyway today I stay home by myself.
I am spending this three-day weekend lazily, and absent-mind.
However in the morning I made juice of which is growing in my garden.
On the other hand my mother is getting better than we expected. She “drinks” thickens food if she likes. And she she clearly denied food she doesn’t like. According to my daughter she. Is tough picky. Well it doesn’t start recently. It is her character. So she is all right, though we don’t know when aspiration pneumonia happens.
In the morning I will go to the gym.
On Japanese calendar, we have three-day weekend. I have no plan.
I was going to see a friend for the first time in 30 years. She lives in Osaka, now she is in Tokyo for a while. So she was going to visit Utsunomiya here. But because of sudden Yuki’s hospitalization I canceled. I might talk with her on video phone.
Than he expected it is cool in the hospital. I took two sets of long sleeved pajamas, but they are not enough. I have to go buying new ones and take them. (Usually he doesn’t wear long sleeved pajamas expect think ones for winter, so he doesn’t suitable pajamas at home. )
According to him, a chest pocket is necessary, and if is can find sporty type is better.
I think a set of long sleeved normals pajama with a chest pocket is enough.
Anyway the period he has to be in the hospital seems to longer than we expected.
Yuki caught pneumonia and was hospitalized yesterday. He looked not so bad. He didn’t have high fever. But his blood test was not so good, and his lung is weak. So doctors were thinking, the they suggested him to be hospitalized.
Unluckily he had to cancel play golf onWednesday.
He was going to attend the the golf with taking medicine.
Anyway for about five or seven days he has to spend with no-alcohol.
Here in Utsunomiya Ipswich’s big hospitals are not admitted anyone including family to visit patients who are hospitalized. So I just take his underwear or magazines constantly. —— not constantly, probably. Anyway today I have to take some. He can buy underwear at convenience store in the hospital, but it is very very expensive.
Yuki was able to join the concert yesterday. After that he told his members his health problem. It was a sad thing, but he seemed to be relieved because feeling less responsibility.
Anyway today we go to the hospital. Our first schedule was going to the hospital tomorrow.
Before going to his hospital I go to a clinic to be prescribed medicine for headache for me.
In the morning it seems to be tough.
However—-
To tell the truth he has still a fever and it is controlled by fever reducer. He doesn’t catch coronavirus thought he did confirm by an exam kit at home. We call to the hospital and asked advice every two days. It might be a side effect of PET-CT, but it seems too long. We are going to the hospital next Monday. At a clinic near of my house, they prescribe fever reducer.
The hospital says that if he gets into bad condition including bad coughing, come there as an emergency patient.
Actually I don’t want him to join the concert today. But he seems that it might be the last official concert for him. I know it. In autumn some concerts are scheduled. But he can’t make sure if he is able to join them.
Yesterday I called the hospital about his fever. It seems to be a side effect. So they said to take fever reducer.
Thinking calmly it is usual thing. But such a thing makes me uneasy. And from of now such worry things are more. Can we get over?
About my garage sale at cafe owner said some of my collection sold. I am really happy to hear that. I could give good retirement stage for my collection.
After his examination, it is our lunch time. I wonder which restraint to go.

It is rainy. So it is cool.
Today we are going to a shopping mall. There is a senior life advice center to revise our budget plan and life. Consultation is free of charge. Then we are going to take LRT. We will just go to the last stop and come back by LRT.
The last stop is the company Yuki user to work.
Today Yuki is admitted to hospital overnight for having lung biopsy.
We are relieved because for these two weeks we aren’t caught by cold and corona virus. Yesterday in the evening we had a call from the hospital, they confirmed us if someone has a fever or been caught by corona virus.
In the afternoon I will go to Karaku with my collection. They are displayed for one month, I hope someone buy some of them.
On Sunday in the morning a new washing machine comes while Yuki goes playing tennis.
