In Aiken about food 2

We were in America, it means----
BEE====EEEEEF.
Jan baked wonderful beef steak. She has a wonderful high power electronic oven. ( sorry I forgot the name, it cooked steak perfectly  for about 10 minutes.  She served salad of heart of palm. Have you ever eaten heart of palm? It tasted like between bumboo shoot and white aspalagas.

We also ate pork.

The red one is plum sauce for pork. It took about two hours for her to cook all of things. She precooked them really carefully. It was amazing. Can you guess what I was doing beside her? I was just washing, and sliced onions.

Anyway everything is big.
In Japan it's very difficutl to get such a big roaf of pork or beaf.

Hello Mieko! It's great to hear that the weather cooperated and allowed for a truly enjoyable vacation!Also, a safe traveling experience as well! I am familiar with heart of palm salad, being from Florida.....However,I have never eaten it myself. Did you enjoy it? I will have to give it a try sometime and let you know what I think. :)

Thanks Tarrah08
Looking at palm trees, I thought they couldn't be edible. But looking at bubmoo trees, I thing they taste good. Actually the taste of heart of palm was not so bad.

I bet your daughter Cecillia must do a good job. I've never been to England, but Nottinghill is one of the place that I've wanted to go. I'm intereseted in goods you find at fleamarkets.
