While we were staying home, we dealt with discarding in earnest.
We were wondering which was better to do it now or in our coming retirement life.
However discarding some things probably is endless. So when we want to do is the time to do it.
1. a closet in the living room
. We reorganize the boxes, and one big cardboard box was discarded.
2. our daughter's desks
Before this big holiday Yuki brought back his belongings which were kept in his office a little. Most of them are going to be discarded at office, but some comes back and probably he wants to keep them. So to make room for them, we organized their desks. Some were moved to upper closet and the others were discarded getting their permission.
3. upper closet
I wrote "some of them moved to upper closet." It means we had to reorganize the things in upper closet. Most of them were documents. So we discarded most of them.
Well, we discard things by the method of "konmari". When we feel joy or some positive feeling by touching a thing, we keep it. So some documents were left.
4. looking back on car gadget.
We don't have a big garage. We have just space for parking cars. So the trunk of his car
is full of "his" gadgets, including some things for golf, tennis, etc.
He discard some things and moved some things into the upper closet.
Now, we are reconsidering our albums.
We take each page (not each photo) by camera, change the data into digital data. However I want to keep some photos. So I pick some from albums, and keep into a thin file.
Of course some albums are kept as a thick album itself.
